FLOW GROUPS

A Flow Group is a biweekly meeting dedicated to prayer, study, fellowship and discipleship.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. -Acts 2:42

Gospel-Centered Community

We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication. This is our mission and process for discipleship. Out of this, gospel-centered community is the context for discipleship, the people you experience Christ with. One of the ways we live out this discipleship is through our Flow Groups.

We pursue and live out gospel-centered community in our Flow Groups. Made up of men and women from all generations of life, these groups meet throughout the week for food, fellowship, care, prayer, accountability, sharing stories and studying God’s Word. They’re a place where we work to consider each other over ourselves. No group is perfect, and no two groups are exactly the same.

What Happens at a Flow Group?

A group of about 6 to 12 people gather in a home (of a Flow Group leader or host) one night during the week to hang out, share some good food, pray for one another, and discuss some practical ways to apply the sermon from Sunday, or a book of the Bible. There are also times where a Flow Group will commit to serving their community and the world as a whole.

How Long Does the Night Last?

A typical Flow Group night can last anywhere from 1-2 hours, although people are free to leave as their schedule allows. This is not a church service, it’s a time when the church gathers to serve one another and their Flow Group community.

Do They Go All Year?

Yes, but all Flow Groups have weeks where they don’t meet depending on schedules and time of year. They are most active between September and May, while meeting more casually during the Summer months. Remember, the aim of Flow Groups is for us to establish an everyday rhythm of connectivity and community in both our church family and our town, so that the love of Jesus grows in us and goes through us for the sake of the gospel!
