Stay Sharp 2008

As shepherds, it's our job to protect the flock from every dangerous "wind of teaching" and to feed them with rich, life-giving biblical truth (Ephesians 4:11-15, I Peter 5:2-4). The purpose of Stay Sharp is to provide relevant and consistent training for leaders to help our churches be theologically healthy. This year's theme is "Staying Sharp on the Doctrines of Salvation, the Spirit, and the End Times."

The EFCA is known for "majoring on the majors and minoring on the minors," but that's not always easy to do. We've asked Greg Strand to help us go deep into the vital center of three important areas of doctrine: soteriology, pneumatology, and eschatology.

Along the way, we're going to learn:

  • What the EFCA believes Scripture teaches about Salvation, the Spirit, and the End Times
  • What are the current theological threats to these teachings that menace our churches
  • How to develop biblically based positions in areas of controversy
  • And how to relate with brothers and sisters in Christ who disagree with us

It won't be boring! We're planning for almost 8 hours of engaging instruction and helpful interaction on issues that affect our local churches.
