Every encounter with Jesus Christ, whether the initial encounter of salvation or the continued sanctifying encounters in a believer's life, leads a person toward transformation into the image of Jesus Christ. The Lord has given this transformational ministry to His Church. At Waterdam Church, we seek to accomplish this mission by focusing onย three essential purposes: Intimacy with God, Community with One Another, and Impact in the World with the Gospel.

Building a close, personal relationship with the Lord through worship, Bible study, and prayer.
Your first connection to life and discipleship at Waterdam Church is one of our weekend worship servicesโa blend of contemporary worship with an emphasis on the preaching and teaching of Scripture. Believers are transformed into the image of Christ as they build close, personal relationships with the Lord and live a life more fully devoted to Him through three core means: worship, Bible study, and prayer.

Community with One Another
Connecting in Sunday morning groups or home groups to belong, build up, and grow together.
True transformation takes place in community with "one another." To be in community means to belong to one anotherโthe Church is a spiritual union of believers, bound by the Holy Spirit into one Body. Every member is brought together for mutual edification, building one another up into strong, mature followers of Jesus so that together we are transformed into His image. Our capacity to love others is expressed through fellowship and ministry "spurring each other on to love and good works"

Impacting the World With the Gospel
Reaching out through evangelism, compassionate service, and sharing Godโs love.
We reach out to the world around us through evangelism and service so that people will see Jesus in us, hear about Jesus from us, and be drawn to Godโs saving grace. Having hearts full of compassion allows us to recognize the needs of hurting people and actively meet those needs as the Lord provides the means and ability. We serve because we love people and want them to know that God loves them too.

God - We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.
